I’m Carly Tong, a garden designer based in Balsall Common close to Warwickshire. I’ve spent many years helping people create gardens that not only look beautiful but truly work for the way they live. Whether you’ve got a few square metres or rolling borders to play with, I believe every garden has the potential to become something special, a place that brings you calm, joy, and connection.

I created this journal to share ideas, advice, and inspiration with fellow garden lovers. Maybe you’re dreaming of a complete redesign, or perhaps you just want to add a little magic to a tired corner. Whatever your starting point, I’m here to help guide you through it.

My goal is to make garden design feel approachable, enjoyable, and personal. A well-designed garden isn’t about following trends or copying what you’ve seen online. It’s about understanding how you want to use your space and creating something that reflects your lifestyle.
